Congratulations to Dan Little, who was recently named employee of the month for
November. Dan joined the Lakeland Regional team in 2009 and has since proven his unwavering commitment to create the best healthcare experiences for our patients, visitors and employees.
Through his role as a properties mechanic, Dan is dedicated to providing preventive maintenance and repairs for our 13 off-site facilities. Whether it is an air-conditioning call at the Oates Building, a light out at the Rehab clinic or a repair at LRCC, Dan delivers prompt service.
Prior to working at Lakeland Regional, Dan worked as a maintenance supervisor, construction project manager and has attained a certificate in facilities management — all of which Dan says prepared him for his current role.
“I knew right away Dan had the skills to perform the job, but what really impressed me the most was his compassion for service. He wanted to be a part of an organization that cared and demonstrated compassion,” said Tim Mercier, Facilities and Support Services director.
“In a world of multi-tasking, Dan is the best. He is also a good friend and a great co-worker. He is always the first to ask if you need help,” said Scott Seiferth, maintenance mechanic, Engineering Department.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his wife, Pam. Dan says the values his parents instilled in him at a young age continue to drive him to do his best every day.
