Overcoming Challenges

A teenager overcoming a sports-related fracture. The newborn recently diagnosed with a genetic disorder. A child challenged by speech developmental delay.

These are just some of the problems treated and overcome at Lakeland Regional Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Clinic’s pediatric and adolescent program. Our highly skilled therapists work closely with children from birth through the teenage years to restore and improve physical skills, as well as sensory-motor and cognitive capabilities.

The area’s most comprehensive pediatric program.

As a leader in Polk County, we’re uniquely equipped and skilled in helping children and their families faced with genetic and developmental disorders, traumatic injuries, sports injuries and orthopedic conditions in an environment that is fun and rewarding.

From evaluations and early intervention to a full range of therapies, we’re dedicated to improving day-to-day and long-term quality of life for children. For those who require multiple therapies, we provide a variety of services all conveniently located under one roof, including highly specialized hand, swallowing and balance therapies. And for young adults who would benefit from continued therapy after their teen years, you’ll find an easy transition to our adult program located within the same facility.
