Lakeland Regional Hosts Free Victorian Tea Event for Breast Health Awareness

In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lakeland Regional Cancer Center and Lakeland Regional Medical Center are sponsoring a Victorian Tea on Friday, October 5, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, located at 175 Lake Hollingsworth Drive in Lakeland.
During the event, Stephanie Benedict, MD, a primary care physician at Lakeland Regional’s Family Health Center, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in her thirties will share her survival story. Also, hear from LRCC’s physician experts, to include Richard Boothby, MD, who will offer important tips and information when it comes to women’s health and nutrition. The program will also feature a physician panel for questions and answers. Nancy Cattarius of Hall Communications will be the event emcee.
Registration opens at 1:00 p.m., and a Healthy Woman Expo will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A variety of booths related to women’s health will be staffed to answer questions and provide information.
This event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Registration is required by calling (863) 687-1400 by Thursday, October 4. Light refreshments will be served during the program.
