Congratulations to Iris Williams-Smith who was recently named Lakeland Regional’s employee of the month. Iris has been a part of t
he LRMC family for more than 10 years and takes pride in serving our patients through her role as a health unit coordinator. She is known for her strong knowledge-base, positive attitude and contagious laugh.
“Everyone flocks around Iris because of her wonderful personality. She is loved by patients and staff and she can make the worse day better. We can depend on her to tell the truth, even if the truth isn’t the easiest thing to hear. We consider her a go-to person for just about everything,” said Joaney Bryant, RN, B8.
Among Iris’s most proud achievements are when she completed the CNA program and later earned her title as HUC.
On a personal level, Iris enjoys cooking and hopes to own her own restaurant one day. She also enjoys working with Lakeland Regional’s patients so much that she could see herself becoming a registered nurse.
