Meet our Therapists
Susan has 11 years of experience in physical therapy and athletic training, with a special focus on sports medicine. She has previously worked for both the University of South Florida and Florida Southern College, and has taught courses on orthopedic disabilities and rehabilitation at FSC and PSC Winter Haven.Susan received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine with Athletic Training Focus from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. She is certified as a licensed physical therapist and licensed athletic trainer by the state and is Board Certified in Sports Physical Therapy. She is also a National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board Certified Athletic Trainer and a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Melissa Helm
Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Exercise Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Melissa designs and implements therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of injured athletes in clinical and athletic environments, and works with physicians and coaches to determine an athlete’s safe return to competition.
In addition to her work at Lakeland Regional Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Clinic, Melissa also supervises the student athletic training staff at Lakeland Christian School. She has served as a Physical Therapy Technician for the Physical Therapy Institute of South Florida.
Terri Stonick, DPT, CLT, MBA
Terri graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado, earned a Master of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Southern California, a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Saint Augustine, and a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University.
She is certified in Manual Therapy, Pilates and Lymphedema treatments.
Terri has worked in physical therapy throughout California and Florida since 1992, including owning and operating her own Pilates Rehab center in Weston, Florida.
Terri brings her experience and expertise to LRMC’s patients and staff as both a therapist and manager of the outpatient clinic.
