Michael A. Campanelli, D.O.
Michael A. Campanelli, D.O., who has been in practice in Polk County since 2000, is recognized for his neurosurgical skill in trauma cases and is an invaluable addition to Lakeland Regional’s Trauma Services Department. He also has a special interest in spine and spinal reconstructive surgery, including minimally invasive spinal surgery. He was the first neurosurgeon in Polk County to perform minimally invasive spinal reconstructive surgery. He is also highly adept at Brain Lab navigation for removal of complex brain tumors. In addition to his spinal and cranial expertise, Dr. Campanelli treats patients suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome.
Jose A. Torres Gluck, M.D.
Jose A. Torres Gluck, M.D., joined the staff of Lakeland Regional in 2013. He is recognized for his expertise in disc replacement surgery and minimally invasive surgery of the spine. Additionally, Dr. Gluck has specific training and expertise in surgery of the pituitary gland. Dr. Gluck is also a faculty member of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine Neurology Department, serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Torres Gluck obtained his medical degree with honors from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, NY, in 1987. This degree included a fellowship in neurointensive care from Université de Paris, Hôpital de la Salpêtrière, Paris, France. He completed his neurosurgical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. Dr. Gluck completed an additional fellowship in neurosurgical oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/Cornell University, New York, NY.
Dr. Torres Gluck is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He previously served as Chief Attending Neurosurgeon at Metropolitan Hospital Center and as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at Columbia University in New York, NY.
Tsz Lau, M.D.
Tsz Lau, M.D., joined the staff of Lakeland Regional in 2013. Dr. Lau obtained his medical degree with honors from the State University of New York, Buffalo, NY. He completed his neurological surgery training at the University of South Florida where he also completed a fellowship in skull base cerebrovascular surgery. Dr. Lau is also a faculty member of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine Neurology Department, serving as an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery.
Dr. Lau is the recipient of numerous awards and honors during the course of his studies including Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Fellowships Program from the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD; Robin M. Bannerman Memorial Research Award from State University of New York, Buffalo, NY; Augustus McCravey Resident Clinical Award from the Southern Neurosurgical Society; and Best Epilepsy Paper Award from the Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress, Hong Kong.
