Among the many services our doctors provide are:

Halo Ablation Treatment

Barrett’s esophagus is a pre-cancerous condition affecting the lining of the esophagus. It can develop after prolonged periods of Gastroesophpgeal reflux disease (GERD), which is a disorder in which stomach acid and enzymes cause injury to the esophogeal lining, producing symptoms like heartburn, regurgitation and chest pain. Diagnosis requires the patient to undergo an upper endoscopy procedure. Barrett’s esophagus increases the risk for the patient to develop esophogeal cancer.

If you or a family member suffer from Barrett’s, HALO ablation treatment may be right for you. It is performed in an outpatient setting and no incision is required. The HALO ablation technology consists of two different devices; the HALO360 and HALO90 ablation catheters. The HALO360 ablation catheter is capable of treating larger areas of circumferential Barrett’s esophagus, while the HALO90 is is used to treat smaller ones.
