Community Education is one way that we reach out to meet specific informational needs of the public. We offer free community education programs regularly on a variety of health and well-being topics, free depression screenings and numerous support groups and classes to address specific health and wellness issues. Online you can view the current schedule of our support groups and classes or request more information about the programs.
Our Senior Care program, which serves senior citizens who register free of charge, has grown to over 7,500 members. Members receive special mailings and invitations to educational programs especially for seniors, as well as the opportunity to receive free flu and pneumonia vaccines.
The hospital and its employees also participate in a number of community organizations and activities, such as Lakeland Metro Vision, United Way of Central Florida, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce and Partners in Crisis, among others.
